Hello, and thank you for downloading DM-Blocked.

This is a concept level not origionally designed for public release.

As I've come to realise by my peers, that everybody should at least get to see a different concept for what an Unreal Tournament level should be.

The idea came from a project assigned to me by my Professor in a Sequential Arts class, which was to take an idea and develop a four page comic out of it. Then take that four page comic and design a project based on the origional idea and translate it into a completely different medium.

Well, since I've been making maps for unreal for 3 years now; the choice was clear.

The level you have just downloaded is the direct result of this final project. With that, I hope you enjoy the project and that it will inspire you to do something new and interesting.

The level isn't exactly finished to my satisfaction. The unreal engine lights static meshs (the props in the level) on a per vertex basis. This basically means that on a lean and low poly model, the lighting will look less than savory. If you notice, the lighting on the pillows look great, but not the head case behind the bed. To fix this, I'm looking into some cell shading capable of the engine. If anybody have any ideas to share with me, please e-mail me.

I've also included the comic as well. Please read the comic first, at least give it a gloss since it'll explain why the level looks the way it is.
