Final Update 12/28/04:
I've had enough. I tried and I'm sick and tired of this. The editor somehow mysteriously removed the texture I had stored in the MyLevel package, which was being used by some of my static meshes. So I have made a new texture package just for it, gave it ForgottenCitadelTex as the name, which should be different enough for this damn POS editor. If I interrupt anyone's downloads then once again I aplogize. If there are still problems after this last fix, then tough - blame Atari for their sloppy programming, because that's where the issues lie. If you want to help me out you can post at the link further below, or here:
http://forums.unrealplayground.com/showthread.php?t=29060&goto=newpost

It would be a GREAT help if someone could start up a page or thread somewhere detailing every bug with the editor that has been found, and the workarounds for each of them if one exists. Then this page or thread could be sent to Atari to see if they really do give a shit about the mappers that have to use their crappy software.

Update 12/27/04:
Hourences left a reply to one of my posts asking for help regarding the issues I was having with this map, or more accurately issues I was having through thers experiencing problems with my map (thanks dude!) Anyhow he pointed out that having two packages with the same names was a bad idea. He's right of course - I had just read that somewhere too. But for some reason I didin't notice that I had done this very thing. Even so, that leaves the mystery of why the level works fine for me, but I'm not taking any chances so I have added the texture to the MyLevel package and updated the map, as well as this zip. Hopefully this fixes the problems others have been having with this map once and for all.

UPDATE 12/26/2004:
For some reason the same map and static mesh packages were working differently for me than others. I was seeing all the meshes in place, collision applied, and proper textures. I started a threads here:
http://sv1.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96228

As well as a few other places but so far nobody has an answer - probably because this all happened just before Christmas so everyone was pretty busy. This is what may possibly be my last attempt to fix this. I altered the static mesh package to what I wanted, BEFORE using it in the level. I deleted all of my static meshes from my level and then re-added them all without altering the static mesh package. That package is EXACTLY what you get in the zip - this map is also EXACTLY the same. There should be windows, the stairs should have collision (I went through and added collision to every mesh in the editor), and a shiny gold texture should be applied to some part of the doorway, window, and support meshes. You shouldn't encounter floating flames - meaning a mesh is missing. I can think of nothing else I can do to fix whatever happened before. I also tweaked the bot pathing a bit - I think you'll find them suffieciently challenging as usual ;)

STORY:
Time is a wheel, a mobius strip returning back to where it came. The Egyptians were not the first, nor were their forefathers. But under the weight of time new technology is lost, called old, and then new again. Little remains of the before, but occasionally some part is uncovered to provide a mystery, and a clue to our past. This is such a part, an ancient temple of unique design. What purpose did it serve? Why has it survived all these years in-tact? There are no answers, only more questions. Quick now, explore the past before it is lost once again, as this is the only key to your future!
