This enclosed game map file is for the Unreal 2004 mod, Killing Floor.

Information on downloading the Killing Floor Mod: http://www.killingfloor.freedomsnet.net/forums/ There are online game servers and it's very much co-op. You can heal your teammates too.

The Killing Floor mod is dark, shadowy and zombie infested. Weapons are realistic: axes; shotguns; machine guns; light antitank, but you can't carry them all at once because of weight restrictions! The less guns, the faster you can run away, I kid you not :) Monsters vary: slow / fast / sneaky; partially invisible and those you cannot miss. There's sirens who just scream and can take your life that way.

Happy Hour map is a deserted English Pub in the middle of nowhere called The Tortured Soul, whose sign says it has a Happy Hour. Weld the doors, drop grenades / shoot from the upper windows and when there's no place left to hide in the pub, try your luck in the country. There's a Trader caravan by the roadside who'll sell you ammo and weapons between zombie waves, which become more and more intense. Maybe you can survive until dawn...

Killing Floor mod is free and so is this map. You're welcome to modify the Happy Hour map if you want / build on it / use the static meshes (also found in ASnipesStaticMeshes.zip at Killing Forums http://www.killingfloor.freedomsnet.net/forums/ and: http://unrealtournament2004.filefront.com/ and: www.strategyinformer.com) If you modify/ build on, the only cost is mentioning me ASnipe34 in your map's readme file.

The creative and often entertaining Killing Floor Team, and the UT2004 team -- Atari / Epic for being so free and open with Unreal Tournament (love no CD required) so with that and other things of Unreal Tournament, I really feel I got my money's worth with Unreal Tournament 2004.

The static meshes were made using Blender 2.45 http://www.blender.org/ and exported using Doc Holiday's .ase exporter. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://blendpolis.de/f/article_view.php%3Ffaq%3D6%26fldAuto%3D13&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=8&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%252Bunrealed%2B%252Bblender%26start%3D10%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN. Strewth a mouthful, well I hope the link works for you as well. Main source of my static mesh textures: http://www.cgtextures.com/ This is a great site with amazing pics of everything you can think of + plus texture tutorials and a forum. (they didn't pay me for this, it's a really useful site.)

Sounds from http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/ Thanks to this website which usually has the exact sound I'm looking for. The contributors: 12739 Leady's locked door; 17872Koops squeak2; 29613 Erdie's rubmetal3; 43788 Digifish's music2 (the gurgle -- no beer.)

A good place to start learning about mapping is http://udn.epicgames.com There are many links on the net about mapping in Unreal. There are forums for questions with helpful people, including the KF Forums above. I should mention http://www.doom3world.org who helped me out as well.

Beta Testers: Stilkdog, and RoBot expert tester will give it a burl too.
