Installation:
Unzip (with subfolders intact) into your UT200X directory.

Description:
Tifa is a character from Final Fantasy VII, modeled after a request on the Polycount (www.polycount.com) Message Boards. The model was originally made for Quake 3 Arena and later ported to UT2004.
If you're wondering: No, I still haven't googled up her background story. Hey, the three people out there who don't know who Tifa is and still want to know can use Google themselves and probably get a more accurate summary than what I'd produce (I'mreally bad at that, so you don't want to tempt me).

Technical Details:
The model has 1061 vertices and 1949 triangles. It uses two 512x512 textures with alpha channels, both DXT5 compressed. The ressource usage is lower than that of a standard UT2003/04 player model, so don't worry, it won't impact your performance.
The standard HumanFemale skeleton and animset were used for the model.

Known Issues:
Tifa was built for a custom skeleton and used custom animations in Quake 3. Since UT2003/04 use much more animations and Milkshape is a pain in the ass for even minor tasks, let alone something major like animation, I did not nor do I intend to make custom animations for her. Because of this some (read: a lot) clipping and bad deformations may occur. Especially the hair is troublesome with default skeletons, but it works enough to not be noticed ingame.
The hair is set to masked instead of alpha due to the faulty handling of alpha planes on modern PCs. Not much of a deal, but she uses alpha in Quake 3 since I'm more familiar with that engine's shader and material system (plus UT2003/04 causes problems if you use more than two materials per model).

Redistribution:
This model may only be redistributed with the readme intact and free of charge. Any modifications to the model need to be declared in a file included in the archieve (can be appended to this file) and credits must be given properly (that doesn't just mean my name, but yours as well, after all I don't want to get blamed for some third party's modifications to the model).
Selling this model isn't just disrespectful of my work, it's a rip off and, more important, making money of other people's intellectual property (that constitutes copyright infringement). Expect Square Enix to pull down your door if you try that.
If you care and the site still exists, you can find the model (and others) on my homepage at http://members.tripod.de/KDR_11k/ and probably a few other sites later on.

Since this model is distributed for free, I'm not liable for any damage, direct or indirect, caused by the proper or improper usage of this model or any associated content. If you, for some reason, had to pay money for this, smack the scammer a good one and demand your money back.
