		Neko Rei
		========

A playermodel for UT2003 and 4 by Seyiji (seydav@velocity.net), Spider2Cool (spider2cool@hotmail.com) and KDR_11k (KDR_11k@web.de) based on a figure of Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion in a catsuit.

Installation
------------
   The files inside the ZIP are arranged in the proper directories already, just extract the archive with subdirectories intact to the UT200X base directory.

Usage
-----
   To play as Neko Rei select her as your character on the Player settings page in Options and start or join a game where all participants have the model installed.
   To add Neko Rei as a bot add her in the Custom Bots tab. The tab only appears when bot mode is set to custom in Map Options (UT2003, option is greyed out as long as use map defaults is on) or Game Options (2004).

The Model
---------
   Neko Rei uses 1076 vertices and 2152 triangles for the S version and 1082 vertices and 2162 triangles for the K version on a default skeleton with one 1024x1024 DXT1 texture. That's much less than what UT200X's default models uses.
   Seyiji made the model, passed it on to Spider who tweaked, UVed and skinned it and then passed it on to me who tweaked it some more, rigged it, put it into UT2003/4 and added TCs. Later on I decided that I'd like to take a shot at retexturing her so I threw her into Blender, modified the mesh further, reUVed her since Spider's UVs have too much distortion for my liking and reskinned. The skin is half cheated because I put in the rough shading with a radiosity solution and didn't really spend that much time on it.
   Both the "original" (well, still tweaked) and the reskinned versions are available, called the S (for Spider) and K (for KDR) version respectively. I've provided OBJs as SDKs for both.

Stuff

The character obviously remains intellectual property of GAINAX.
